A bird in flight, a sight so grand,
With wings outstretched, it takes command,
Of the skies, it's kingdom and throne,
A ruler of the winds, it's fully flown.
With every flap, it rises higher,
Defying gravity, a true flyer,
It glides and soars, with effortless grace,
A natural beauty, in it's place.
It's eyes scan the land below,
Searching for food, and a place to go,
The sun on it's feathers, a brilliant gleam,
A reminder of freedom, and it's wild dream.
The wind whispers secrets, in it's ear,
Guiding it's journey, ever so dear,
It's song echoes, a melody pure,
A bird in flight, forever a lure.
With a final flap, it's gone from sight,
But it's memory, forever in flight,
A bird in motion, a true delight,
A symbol of freedom, and it's might.
